THE MRB FOUNDATION

The MRB Foundation was incorporated as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization in August 2021.  The Foundation’s mission is to promote community relations, increase public awareness and understanding of aviation, the aviation industry and to support workforce recruitment and retention efforts in the aviation industry. 

WE SUPPORT

The MRB Foundation raises funds for advisory services, learning opportunities for students, research for educational purposes and other educational services.

OUR NETWORK

The organization is actively involved with the Berkeley WV 250 events and has planned a 100th Anniversary celebration of Shepherd Airfield in conjunction with the Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport in 2023.

Gates open at 5:00 PM. Live music, food trucks, vendors and activities will be available throughout the day.

MRB Aviation and the MRB Foundation would like to thank all who came by for our Pancakes and Planes event. Even through the rain showers, it was a huge success! The airport is excited to announce Phase 1 of the Outdoor Aviation Learning Center is now available for the public to enjoy. We appreciate the community’s continued support of the airport and events hosted over the years.

Located on the campus of the Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport, the MRB Foundation was incorporated in August 2021 and is housed at 226 Pilot Way, Martinsburg, WV.

The Foundation is led by a board of directors, chaired by Jim Marshall.  The volunteer board of directors serve as stewards and fiduciaries of the organization and its investment portfolio.  It is the responsibility of these directors to cultivate the Foundation’s continued growth and development through fundraisers, community outreach to other aviation related organizations.
